Best beer tastings of winter 2010

Below is a list of the best new local beer that I have tasted this winter. I’m not very talented at describing the taste of beer—so I’m not going to try reviewing the beers. You can follow the links below to Rate Beer for more detailed information on taste, smell, and looks of each of the beers.

However, I do have to say that the Mikkeller Big Worst is nothing less than transcendent! Try it if you get the chance—and if you dare.

Disc Golf—my new recreational hobby

Last summer while vacating in California I got the chance to play Disc Golf (yes, it’s golf but played with a frisbee (or disc as it’s preferably called because Frisbee is a registered trademark of the toy company Wham-O)).

If you want a little taste of what it’s all about then try watching this this promotional video:

It’s much more fun to play Disc Golf than to watch it on TV, of course, and it’s both easy and cheap to get started. I have quite a collection of discs already (see below) and most places around the world (and especially in the US) have disc golf courses nearby.
